Good Morning beautiful people!
I know, I know, I can all hear you moaning about the long night of heat and lack of rain. I have had about an hour's sleep all night but contemplated a lot for the future of our wonderful charity. To date we haven't really needed publicity because our charity sells itself with all the good work we do so I see no need to seek more. We haven't really had any money donated apart from $200 to buy nappies when we need them and $5 to Paypal to put towards a box or embellishments. It also means that all the many donations of goods that help us to fulfill our needs for the babies etc are donated with pure love and compassion and our charity isn't money based. We never hound people for money because our wonderful supporters donate so much and our committee uses a lot of our own money without counting the costs. We have been operating just over a year so that is magnificent for a new charity that is on equal par respect wise to some of the longer running organizations (15-25+ years). We have even had several people try to destroy this charity and will continue to do so but it is so truly blessed and protected that I guarantee you we have a mightier force looking after it to protect it. I pity the people who try to damage it! Not only that but we have been helping many to heal in different ways by allowing them to help us. It doesn't always have to be the loss of a baby, it can be anything. So when I look to the wonderful future of The Australian Outback Baby Project......my own baby that I created with inspiration from The Holy Family itself......an immaculate concept itself......I see nothing but a highly successful charity based solely on love, commitment, compassion, an Australian wide community and dedication from many hundreds of incredible people...YOU! (Maree) DELIVERIES
Careflight (NT) Hey Everyone!
I'm just working behind the scenes here to tie up all loose ends to get ready for our incorporation in a few weeks to months. All fundraising with the jelly babies and jelly beans will cease as I have new plans I aim to put into place. Our charity will be polished, a prime charity for anyone to be proud to support and all posters professionally done for future fundraising. We are looking at Rotary and the Lions Clubs to support us via fundraising as well as other clubs helping us sell official teddy bears for much needed funds. We will be aligning ourselves with wonderful and new professional Australian businesses and organizations and won't accept any less standard wise. We will support all the small Aussie businesses who help us by buying through them or promoting them; and we just use large businesses as an avenue for bulk items because they don't have the interest nor inclination to help us like small community minded businesses do. I make a total commitment to support the small Aussie businesses and promote a strong community spirit Australia wide. Charity begins at home, here in Australia! We will no longer be purchasing toys for children in other countries, although I deeply feel for them but there are large financially well off international charities who can do that. We have thousands upon thousands of babies and children in trauma in Australia who need us the most. We are The AUSTRALIAN Outback Baby Project (and rural NSW too ) A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Michael Pilbrow, a candidate for Hume from Yass. Michael has a wife Lynne and three wonderful teenagers; is a business consultant in Yass and well respected by everyone he meets. I won't go into the politics side to our meeting, however, after meeting me by accident and learning about our charity; Michael decided to get NSW Senator Ursula Stephens involved, to help us out with advice about our charity and changing our registration to incorporated so we can get one of her government grants. After seeing Michael in action and having his helpers also promote us around the large Hume electorate; fulfilling every promise he gave and those he wasn't committed to promising; being a huge favourite amongst our supporters as a "decent bloke and committed supporter".....I decided to ask him (bashfully at that) to become our major patron of our charity. He bashfully agreed with no hesitation. Tahnja Wolter is still our patron also but due to commitments with her music and painting; Tahnja will soon be leaving for Fatima in Portugal for possibly several years. Once established, she will do some fundraisers for us. |
